PM Dahal, UML Chair Oli meet, discuss upcoming election

Kathmandu, May 1: Prime Minister Pusha Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli held a meeting and discussed contemporary political issues as well as the upcoming local level election. During the meeting held at the Secretariat of the Speaker of the House at Singha Durbar, PM Dahal and leader Oli discussed the scenario following the registration of the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice Sushila Karki, according to the PM’s Press Advisor Govinda Acharya. The two leaders also dwelt on holding upcoming local level election within the stipulated time being unaffected by the political developments in the country. Issues relating to forwarding the prime agenda of the country also figured during the meeting, shared PM’s press advisor Acharya. PM Dahal also sought the cooperation from the leaders of the major opposition, UML, for forwarding the constitution amendment bill that is registered in the Parliament. Emerging from the meeting, UML Chair shared that the UML will publicly voice its opinion on the issues discussed with the PM from the office of the UML.
