Kathmandu : The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for Sunday afternoon was postponed at the eleventh hour.
The meeting summoned at 4:30 pm was postponed due to busy schedule of party chairperson and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, according to the party office secretary Krishna Gopal Shrestha. The next meeting has been scheduled for December 26, he added. In today’s meeting, the chairpersons were scheduled to respond to the queries raised over the political proposal tabled in the meeting.
Chairman Oli could not attend the SC meeting as he attended the Second National Convention of the government attorneys.
Discussions over the political proposal presented by chairpersons—KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ concluded after leader Pradeep Gyawali put forth his views this morning. The SC meeting of the ruling NCP was underway from December 15.
