Kathmandu : Meteorologists have claimed that the monsoon effects in the country are on the decline. However, they have said a few places of the country are likely to suffer heavy rainfall in next couple of days.
Meteorologist Samir Shrestha says the monsoon’s low pressure line is moving southward gradually, and it will decrease the amount of precipitation in Nepal.
Currently, the line is somewhere below the southern plains of Nepal.
Shrestha forecasts that a few places of eastern and western parts of the country are likely to receive rainfall on Tuesday afternoon. Likewise, the eastern region will have the heavy rainfall on Wednesday night, according to him.
At least 67 persons have been killed in floods and landslides triggered by heavy rainfall across the country in past five days.
