Kathmandu : Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today said the knowledge of yoga and its exercise must be taught to students at the school level. During a yoga camp held to mark the International Yoga Day here, PM Deuba insisted that the practice of yoga must be taught at school level mindful of its mental and physical benefits, and the balance it creates between heart and brain. “Yoga is such an ancient method which saves a man from bad habits and gives pleasure,” the PM said, adding” If the children can practice this, it will support their education.” At the programme, PM Deuba released ‘Dainandin Yogabhyas’, a book written by Acharya Bal Krishna and ‘Yoga Message’ published by the Indian Embassy. On the occasion, Patanjali Yoga Committee Nepal’s Chief Yoga Guru, Lavdev Mishra, taught the yoga to the participants. The International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21.
