Kathmandu, June 29: The vote counting of the second phase of local level elections held in 35 districts of Province no 1, 5 and 7 for 334 local levels, has started in 307 local levels.
With this, the vote counting of the 25 local units has remained unaccounted, according to the Spokesperson at the Election Commission of Nepal (ECN), Surya Prasad Sharma.
The ballot boxes from the upper hills and remote places in the hilly areas were airlifted to the designated places where the vote counting will take place while the ballot boxes from a polling station in Taplejung district is yet to be fetched, shared Spokesperson Sharma.
Similarly, the election that was postponed at the Kothimahi rural municipality ward no 1 in Rupandehi district and Jayaprithivi Municipality ward no 3 in Bajhang district owing to various reasons as the demise of the candidates, would be held on Friday.
